Explore Your Environment (EYE)

Summer

E.Y.E. connects children to their everyday surroundings by bicycle. E.Y.E. begins with instruction on safe cycle protocols and orientation to our community. Our instructors guide children to learn how to bike as needed and how to become more confident cyclists. Each day, children have critical input in planning their adventure, as we cycle around the beautiful South-end exploring bike paths, parks, historic landmarks & beaches. Y.O.U. instructors are trained to capture every opportunity for learning-in-context, connecting youth-led exploration with ecology, sustainability, math, history, and more! Want to join our team this summer? Check out our open positions.

Summer registrations are officially open! Check out the available weeks below and secure your spot for your preferred week. If you're interested in additional weeks, let us know on your registration, and you will be added to the waitlist. Reserve your spot today:

Experiences follow a theme of learning about the local ecosystem, varying depending on the interests of participants. Favorites include snorkeling at East Beach, bowling-on-the-green and croquet at Hazelwood Park, harvesting fresh produce in the Victory Park Children’s Garden, and exploring Palmer’s Island. Each week children take an “Adventure Trip,” where we explore local land trusts, working farms, rivers and waterways- creating connections to the broader region that they may never have explored.
