Programs Overview

SAFE  -  FUN  - EDUCATIONAL

Y.O.U. offers bicycling trips, outdoor adventures, and indoor experiential learning workshops for local youth throughout the year. We serve primarily urban youth from low-to-moderate income families, who are most in need of engaging out-of-school experiences.

The Y.O.U. model is unique: we follow youth’s natural curiosity, knowing this unlocks the door to discovery and self-reliance. We define success as imparting children with a “seed pod” - a new idea, expanded outlook, or acquired skill, that they can cultivate throughout their lifetime. For example, learning to ride a bike, identify ducks, osprey, and heron, and cook new foods from plants grown in the on-site garden -- experiences that open curiosity and provide the tools to more confidently follow that curiosity in new directions.

Our program model is simple and affordable, but powerful, so that we can readily expand to reach more children.
