Read and Ride

Summer

During “Read & Ride” youth cycle to destinations around the South End peninsula in historic New Bedford. Children build literacy skills in a supportive, low- stress environment. Whether reading beside the ocean, under the shade of a tree in Hazelwood Park, or at the Victory Park Children’s Garden, “Read & Ride” encourages youth to discover the joy of literacy.

Fast Facts:

• Each session is 1 week long.

• Guides are carefully trained in Y.O.U. safety protocols & all hold current CPR & First Aid certifications.

• Youth participants must know how to ride a bike in order to participate in the program.

• Maximum group size is 14, to allow for one-on-one attention & friendship building.

Ages: 9-14

Dates: August 4th - 8th, August 11th - 15th

Schedule: 2 one week sessions

Time: 12:30pm - 2:30pm
